If you think we treat women bad, then you should go to the none west, which treat women even worse", so we need to point out, the idea of "The west treat women well and none west treat women like crap" and "Asia is a society where the husband is like a King and wife is like a servant, while the west in comparison treat women as equals" are nothing more then stereotypes invented by white supremacists, to sustain the idea of white people are superior, a concept they very much invented out of thin air.
Now having said that, within the bible the status of women, is even lower, then that within the stereotype of "husband is like a King and wife is like a servant", it goes as far as inferring the idea that "a wife is the property of her husband to do as he please and the wife is less then just the servant of her husband, but the slave of her husband, to do as he please, even if the husband tell her to eat rat poison to kill herself, she must do it." and despite the bible says a husband should not be harsh with his wife, it didn't specify what it meant by "not harsh" and the bible also wrote if the wife accidentally touched the penis of another man, while helping her husband to fight another man, the husband must then cut off his wife's hand, meaning, what the bible consider as "not harsh" is still very harsh, it also said if you fancy the wife of others, just defeat them, then you can take their wife as your own.
As a result, until the turn of 19th century, men pimping out their wife, to other men, is not an uncommon practice and till the 19th century, men selling their wife, in public auctions, within the market, is a common practice in many western country. Behavior like these only become outlaw, by 19th century, (which is probably one of the reason 18th century, western elite think the husbandry in Asia was better, considering such behavior is never legal in known East Asian history)
